Opkar joined BP Pension Trustees Limited in January 2017 in the role of Chief Investment Officer where his main objective is to oversee the investment strategy of the pension fund. Prior to this, Opkar joined BP Investment Management Limited in June 2014 where he was the Head of Investment Strategy with specific focus on liability hedging and tactical asset allocation. In addition, he is an Advisory Board member for the Pension Investment Academy whose purpose is to run seminars at the cutting edge of pension fund thought. Before joining BP, he worked for the Pension Protection Fund in the role of Principal Fund Manager, Asset Allocation and Investment Strategy with specific focus on strategic and tactical asset allocation and liability hedging. In addition, he was a member of the PPF
s Asset and Liability Committee. Prior to the PPF, he worked for HSBC Global Asset Management as a Senior Fund Manager, becoming a Director in 2006. At HSBC, he specialised in managing Fixed Income and Balanced portfolios using a combination of traditional and quantitative techniques. Before this, he was a Fund Manager and a Quantitative Strategist at WestLB Asset Management. He has over twenty years of experience in the investment industry with special interest in asset allocation and LDI strategies. He graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc (Hons) in Statistics and holds an MSc in Business Finance from Brunel University. Jonathan is also a recognised commentator on financial matters, particularly with regard to pensions and retirement and is often quoted in the national and trade press and frequently speaks at roundtable and workshop events. Jonathan s latest development is a service for employers and employees which responds to the pension rules that came into force in April      2015.

Patrick is a P artner at Cardano. He leads the Client Management Team and works with a number of the firm's advisory and delegated clients. Before joining Cardano, Patrick worked at Goldman Sachs for 15 years in New York and London as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division's Pension Advisory Group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Colgate University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University

Raj is a Portfolio Manager in the Global Equity team with a focus on a range of global equity portfolios, having previously specialised in managing European mandates.   Raj joined Newton in 2002 after acquiring a range of investment experience working in high-level roles at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Royal Insurance Management. Raj is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals (UKSIP)

Mark has responsibility for the performance and implementation of the asset allocation strategies agreed with the Trustees and fund investment advisors. He is responsible for a GBP5.4bn asset portfolio, with investment manager selection across liquid assets (equities, liability, hedging, credit) and illliquid investment (infrastructure, real estate, private credit, opportunistic and buyout equity funds, ground rents) Mark previously structured and established the Societys covered bond and securitisation programmes as Head of Structured Finance.
